Thank you for reading this week's newsletter- lots happening in salón 1! 1. Cold and flu season is (unfortunately) upon is! If your child is sick, please notify the office about their absence and the type of illness. This is confidential, but also helps us know what bugs are floating around so that we can keep everyone healthy and safe. Thank you for your support in this! 2. Thank you to all the parents and families who were able to join us on Friday morning for the feria de libros. The extra hands made all the difference and the students loved getting to see some familiar faces. 3. Friendly reminder that we will be celebrating “Pumpkin Day/Día de calabaza” on Thursday, October 31st. Please be sure to send all students in with a cantalope sized pumpkin and any other materials you may have volunteered for by Monday, October 28th. All parents are all welcome to join us in the gym at 8:30. **On Thursday, October 31st, students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes! No weapons or masks allowed. 4. The kinder team is excited to invite all parents and families to a morning “drop in” on Friday, November 22 from 8:00-8:30. Students will be in charge of showing you around the classroom, teaching you a math game or finding a book to read with you. I am also excited to announce that Srta. Colon, who will be the lead teacher during my maternity leave, will also be there to meet you and join in the fun! 5.
This week's slideshow features día de peluche, "leo a mi mismo" and "la persona misteriosa," Fiona!
